Title: News for Rymal Road West
Location: Lecture Hall of St. Thomas More Highschool
Description: January 27 2014

To the Residents of
Rymal Road East West Corridor Ward 8

I am thrilled to advise some very exciting news for the residents of the neighborhoods that border Rymal Road West from Upper James to Glancaster Road. In the very near future as part of the Official Plan and Public Works Alternative Transportation, we will not only be widening Rymal Road West but implementing proper turn signals at existing stop lights and installing new signals at strategic locations.

An integral part of the Alternative Transportation Team is the implementation of bicycle lanes that run adjacent to this East -West corridor. Unlike the bicycle lanes that motorist see along arterial roads on the mountain and in the downtown core in this situation the proposed bicycle Lanes would be contained within the boulevard between the street and the sidewalk.

As your Ward Councillor I am requesting input from my constituents prior to further implementation. As always your thoughts and concerns are of the utmost importance to me. Please be advised that there will be a Community Meeting regarding the issues outlined in this letter on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at St. Thomas More Highschool. Please do not hesitate to contact my office should you have any questions or concerns.
